It's not often that I run into a pattern designer with an entire line of patterns (especially for kids) that I have not heard of before, but last month I happened upon Blaverry. The review team started chatting about the designs. No one had tried them before, and since the finished garments looked adorable and so well constructed, we reached out to Christie, the designer, to get a taste of what Blaverry has to offer. Christie is offering our fans an entire collection giveaway, so be sure to enter to win at the bottom of this post. In addition, there is a coupon code for our readers that is good through Sunday 8/17/2014. Use PRSAVE30 on purchases of $14.95 or more to save 30% off your cart.
The designs feature impeccable details not typically seen in many PDF children's sewing patterns, details which you'd typically see in ready to wear high-end, fashion forward children's clothing. At times, getting all those details worked out was a challenge for the ladies on the team, but the end result was amazing.
Here's a look at the current line as sewn by the Pattern Revolution team. Click to enlarge photos in a lightbox for more detail. You can read the full review of the Skye pattern and more of my thoughts on this line HERE.
Alexis made the Skye pattern, a knit sailor dress.
Paige made the Harbor reversible hoodie, the Star knit top, and the Pier Skirt.
Serena made the Cruise chino shorts and the Star knit top.
Kara made the Polly Blouse and Piper Capris
Cassie made the Knotlin Nautical Dress, Nayvee Leggings, and Baylen Swing top.
Aren't they just gorgeous?
