I'm lucky to have Ruby and Jack, my two talented and patient grandmothers-for whom my shop is named. They taught me and granted me free creative reign over their fabric scraps and sewing machines, from the time I could see over the edge of the sewing table (while sitting atop a stack of telephone books:). I began my sewing venture with a small boutique making handmade items here on Etsy. My daughter has sensory issues and I was struggling to find clothing she was happy to wear. Eventually I realized I could design clothing with her needs in mind and that is how my pattern shop evolved......my end goal to make clothing my lil bug was happy wearing that were also fun and stylish.
