Jocole Ladies and Girls Peplum Top

"Do you know what day it is?
Do you KNOW what DAY it is?!?!"
You know what I'm talking about...say it with me now...
"HUMP DAY!!!!"
It's Wednesday, folks, and today we have a review for a Ladies AND Girls Peplum Top from Jocole. And if you hang out with Jodi and her crew much, you know that on Wednesdays she does a half off pattern! So today, January 28th, you can buy them for half off! Buy the ladies pattern HERE and the girls pattern HERE.
Here's Paige and her lovely daughters with the review!

I'm back today with my review of the Girls and Ladies Peplum Top by Jocole.  This is a super stylish fitted top with a peplum at the natural waist.  There are also 3 different sleeve lengths included with this pattern.  Here is my version.

This is a beginner level pattern but it's great for all sewers who want to make something fashionable.  It goes together quickly and can be made in under an hour.  There are useful tips for working with knits and if you need to mix sizes or make adjustments, there are instructions explaining how to do this.  One of the best features about the pattern are the links in the table of contents and throughout the pattern.  These allow you to easily navigate to the page you want without scrolling through pages. I just LOVE that you get the dolly version with all Jocole patterns.  My youngest daughter appreciates this too.

This pattern includes:

  • nested pattern pieces.
  • table of contents with clickable links.
  • size and fabric requirements chart.
  • suggested fabrics, notions, and tools.
  • printing and cutting instructions.
  • pattern and fabric layout guides.
  • tips for working with knits.
  • sizing instructions for getting the perfect fit.
  • glossary of sewing terms.
  • step by step instructions with colored line drawing showing assembly steps.

After I made this top, my oldest daughter asked me to make one for her too. Luckily, Jocole designs patterns for women.  She went with a solid color knit and wore it the day I made it.  She's already picked out fabric for another one.....a definite endorsement that these patterns are going to be used a lot.

The pattern for women includes the same features listed above for the girl pattern except that it has 6 sleeve options so this can be made with many different looks.  It comes in sizes XS - XXXL (0-26).

This is not the first pattern I've sewn by Jocole and I can tell you it won't be last.  If you have not made anything by this designer....you must!!!  Go get this pattern and be sure to check out her other patterns.
Happy Sewing!
