Knit patterns are currently my favorite. I like that you can whip them up usually 95% on a serger, even bigger bonus- none of the tedious ironing that the woven dresses require. Oh yes, and that whole comfort thing. This is my first Ellie and Mac pattern. I am completely pleased with the company! Fit was perfect, construction and instructions are very easy.
I think the design leaves lots of room to create different looks. Including using those super cool custom knit panels. I wish I had one to use as an example.
I used a very light weight knit. I think it would work just as nicely with something a little heavier. This pattern has three sleeve options- sleeveless, short sleeve and long sleeve, so it's a great all seasons pattern!
