I love the 90's Dress by Ellie and Mac

This dress design by Ellie and Mac took me literally back to the 90s #flashbacktothe90s

This pattern is such a dream to sew up and the fit is perfection. This is actually my first time sewing anything by Ellie and Mac and I’m asking myself why?!! Why, it took so long to sew up something now I must #ownalltheellieandmacpatterns!

I got to play with some different knits I used up I fell in love with this Art Gallery Acqua Di Rose Boho the colors the pattern gave me that retro feeling I felt went perfect with taking myself back to the 90s and hello….who doesn’t love VELVET!! I found this at Hobby Lobby and I’m now wishing I would have bought more yardage. It was a dream to sew up and I broke up the Boho knit by using velvet cranberry for my sleeves.

This pattern features:

  • Arched front bodice
  • 2 back bodice shape options

  • 2 sleeve options

  • Designed to be made using knit fabrics such as cotton lycra, double brushed poly, stretch velvet, french terry and more.

I went with sewing up the curved bodices for the front and back and using the long sleeves. I took the hemline up a wee bit since I’m vertically challenged.

This 90s dress stitched up in under 40 mins. I can’t wait to make more of these dresses for my fall wardrobe and I hope you enjoy my take of this beautifully designed pattern.
