Happy sewing and swimming!
I live in South Louisiana where it is time for vegetable gardening and opening the swimming pool. All during the day, I am switching from garden to pool as the humidity and heat take its toll. 5 out of 4’s X-Factor Tankini & Bikini Top, together with the Shenanigans Skort, is a perfect combination for my fun (and work) the sun.
Outside is where I will be, from sunrise to sunset, weeding, harvesting, cleaning the pool, tending to the chickens, mowing the yard. I can wear this all day long as this bikini top has the support of a bra! And if you’re unsure about what type of PowerNet Mesh fabric will you give you the best support, 5 out of 4 sells top quality by the yard here at their website.
The Shenanigans Skort, cut at the “Sporty Spice” length, is perfect as a swim skirt. The flounce, I think, gives it a more feminine-flirty look.
Optional ruching on the front of the bra adds to the appeal, making this 51 year old grandma feel fabulous and unconcerned about revealing too much when the grandkids visit. That, and my 30-year-old son thanked me for not showing “mom cleavage.”
This fabric caught my eye on Purpleseamstress Fabric. Once I had Feathers in my possession, appreciating the fabulous feel and quality, I ordered several more prints and lining. If you’re not on Facebook, Purpleseamstress has a website here.
