Bohemian Baby Doll Dress Tour

Today we get the chance to take part in the Bohemian Baby Doll Tour with Elegance and Elephants.  Check out the adorable creation Victoria made.....

------------------------------

It was love at first sight when Elegance & Elephants released the Bohemian Baby Doll pattern. The little details like the flutter sleeves, unique bodice shape, the slight hi low skirt, and contrasting hem gives this pattern such a modern feel.

Bodice fabric: JoAnn's Fabric
Skirt fabric: Tina Givens Riddles and Rhymes Giraffe Fun
Shoes: Children's Place

I have to admit that I broke the most important rule when using PDF patterns. When I printed the pattern I didn't measure the square to make sure it was to scale. I made the dress and it turned out too big on my daughter. I quickly realized I printed it incorrectly. So you might notice that it's a little big but everyone else that has made this dress has told me the fit is perfect! I pinned the back for picture purposes and now my daughter will have this dress ready to wear next year. So here is your friendly reminder to measure the test box before you sew!

I love the simple pretty details about this pattern. The directions for the fully lined bodice and flutter sleeves make is easy to use a contrasting fabric for that fun and youthful look.

The tutorial also included directions to create a pretty contrasting fabric hem facing. Since the skirt has a slight hi low cut, the hem detail is the perfect touch!

Peek a boo!

Another great thing about this pattern is that you can print just the size you need using PDF layers. Instructions included. The entire dress/top is made from pattern pieces due to the unique lines of the bodice, skirt and hem. 16 pages to print giving you 7 pattern pieces to cut.

Step by step images and directions made this dress come together beautifully. No back closures which made it very easy!

It passed the picky toddler test so it is an A+ pattern in my book!

I wouldn't hesitate to add this beautiful pattern to your collection. Perfectly written by a reliable designer.

Thanks for reading and happy sewing!
