Simple Life Pattern Company-Jaimesyn and Missy

Today we are looking at two dresses from Simple Life Pattern Company: Jaimesyn's Double Flutter Pocket Top and Dress and Missy's Tank Dress and Romper. Here is what Chris and Kim had to say about these adorable patterns:

Hi readers, Chris here to share my sew of the Jaimesyn dress by Simple Life Pattern Company.  I’m so thrilled with this sweet look!

The Jaimesyn features large pockets with small pleat that is the perfect place for a button or bow accent.  My daughter loves that they’re big enough for all kinds of treasures!

The wrap around flutters are fully enclosed in the bodice, as opposed to sewn on top, which makes for a clean finish inside and out.  I decided to line my flutters so that the wrong side of the flutter fabric would not be seen when looking from the side.  I only did a single flutter because I was worried about the bulk if I were to do lined double flutters, but I think I might try that next time!

I chose the full coverage back and used snaps, but the pattern also has the option of a V back, which does not require any closures (yay for time-savers!).

For this dress, I used some of the coordinating Quilter’s Showcase fabric from Jo-Ann’s.  I’m not great at mixing prints, so I love that these were essentially coordinated for me!

I hope you love the Jaimesyn as much as I do!

Hi, this is Kim from Better Dressed Child.  I have sewn up the Missy from Simple Life Pattern Company.

I liked the Missy pattern because I am all gaga over Tutu Du Monde dresses and I think I need to make more dresses inspired by them : )  They have a lot of tank dresses and SLPCo always has quick easy patterns.  Perfect match.  Well this dress is not so Tutu but the Beauty and the Beast movie is coming out soon and I just had to use the Belle fabric as soon as the package arrived in the mail box.

The pattern is available as baby size or girls.  Size ranges from NB-12 years.

Mila absolutely loves it : ).  Not sure if it's because the knit top is so comfy and she is ready for summer or if it is because I used the Beauty and the Beast fabric, but either way it is a win!
