Fenix Romper by Simple Life Pattern Company:

I’m an art teacher and have a bohemian, flowy, comfortable style.  When I saw the Fenix Romper from Cali Faye Collection I knew I HAD to have it!!!  It did not disappoint.  I’ve NEVER worn a romper.  Since I’m 5’9” they have never ever fit me before and just made me look like a giant child.  This romper style is just so amazing (boho/comfy/unique)!  It’s perfect for my life as an art teacher!

I picked a gauze fabric from Earth Child collection at JoAnn’s (on sale $5/yd) and it is so light for summer.  I used the wrong side of the fabric since I preferred the softer color.  I took the time to do French seams everywhere and of course that took more time but the pattern is super easy and quick to sew up.  I made a size medium and added 3” for length, and also did fixed bias tape straps.  I think next time I will just add 2” since it’s a bit long.  I even wore the romper BACKWARDS with a tank top and think I like it that way better.  I already have another gauze fabric waiting for a second one and will try other types of drapey fabric too.  I can see myself wearing it teaching this fall with a cute cardigan too.  This was my first Cali Faye pattern (I’ve always loved their style) and I know it will not be my last!  Happy summer!!  Ellen

The Baby Ayda Romper by The Simple Life Pattern Company:

Hi everyone! It’s Heidi from Lilly Belle Handmade. I sewed up an adorable romper pattern that will be perfect for your little one this summer.

The Baby Ayda pattern by Simple Life Pattern Company makes the perfect romper with their romper add on pack. This was such a simple sew with such a cute result. I sewed up my romper in an hour! There are no closures on the bodice, so it just slips right over the head. I love how you can add flutter sleeves if you wish. You can also choose a modest back or a V back (which is what I chose). You will need to purchase both the baby ayda top/dress pattern and the romper add on pack to create this look, but it is so worth it because you get a romper pattern and a dress pattern! The romper bottom can be added to other SLPCo patterns as well.

This is a great beginner pattern for people who are wanting to sew up their first romper. I know my little one lives in rompers in the summer. They are just so practical! I sewed mine up with Art Gallery fabric by Bari J. in her Sage collection, which just screams summer to me. I already have several other Ayda rompers in the works. This pattern is a must have!
