Hey there! It’s Jessica, from Snickerdoodle Stew, and I may have discovered OUR new favorite dress. And by OUR I mean my favorite...and my husband’s favorite! The Tee Dress from Ellie and Mac gets the hubby seal of approval! He said it was one of his favorite things that I’ve ever sewn for myself! The fit was outstanding and I may blend sizes next time to accommodate my wider shoulders. It sewed together so fast and I could easily whip up a few more in an evening!
The pattern gives you lots of suggestions for fabric choices, and I used this Art Gallery Fabrics 95/5% cotton lycra print from Maureen Cracknell’s Soulful line. It’s soft and buttery, and the perfect application for the Tee Dress. I paired it with a cardigan from my closet and wore it to work the day after we did pictures. I chose the longer length and it was perfect! I felt covered but also flirty and cute. It could easily transition between seasons and there are several sleeve length options, too. I joked that I would even wear it to bed if I could! Check out the Tee Dress and sew yourself some love!
