Orbis Skinny Harems Tour with Sofilantjes

Today we are excited to be taking part in the Orbis Skinny Harem Blog Tour.  These adorable pants came out in Issue 13 of One Thimble and if you missed getting them then, now you can grab them from Sofilantjes directly.

These skinny harem pants are super cute and comfortable.  My daughter likes to be both stylish and comfortable, so these fit the bill on both accounts.  I made these from some comfy interlock I bought from the Joann Fabric Doodles Collection.  The fun woodland print and polka dots makes this outfit all girl, but the pants are actually unisex and are perfect for boys too!

One thing I really loved about this pattern was the unique pocket detail.  The half circle pockets are a great detail but are also functional for your little treasure collector as they move about their adventures.  I also loved the topstitching detail that added just a little bit of sportiness to the pants.  The pocket and topstitching is optional though, if you prefer a more simple design for your pants.

Since this pattern goes up to a size 14, I can make my older daughter a pair too.  She is super picky about her clothes, but has recently discovered that she loves the look of joggers and the Skinny Harems have that same look with the knit waistband and knit ankle cuffs.  She'd probably like a solid pair, but the pockets would be perfect for her as well.  Since the entire outfit took less than an afternoon to sew, I can make as many as they want and still have some time to spare to explore the woods with them!
