Jessica Skirt by Pollywoggles Patterns

Today we take a look at another great back-to-school staple.  A skirt that is easy to make, goes with everything, and that your daughter will love - who could ask for more.  Make it in navy or khaki and it may even fit certain uniform criteria. We're giving away a Pollywoggles pattern fo choice at the end of this post, so be sure to read through to the end.

Here is Brianne to share her version and tell you all about the pattern...

Back to life.  Back to reality.  Back to school.Whoa...stop the track!Back to school? Yes, it is that time again.  Summer vacation is coming to an end and the school craziness will begin. Who's ready?  Who has all those new clothes neatly lined up in the closet?  Who hasn't even begun to THINK about school clothes?  I am in that last group.

Luckily for everyone, I have a solution for you.  You can thank me now or later, I accept gratitude at all times.... Pollywoggles Patterns' Jessica Skirt!

The Jessica skirt will take the girl in your life from fall to winter to spring again when paired with leggings during the cool months.  I love when an article of clothing will last the entire year.

More awesome aspects of the Jessica Skirt:
  • Beginner friendly with extra sewing tips
  • No serger necessary
  • Sizes: 12/18 months to size 8
  • Flat front with elastic back
  • HUGE POCKETS (frogs not included with purchase)
  • Color photo with every step
  • Size guide to find the perfect fit
Now for the BEST parts:

First, there are only two pages of pattern pieces to print!  Yes, you read correctly.  There is a cut chart listing a mere 8 rectangles to cut.  One of the pattern pages is a pocket cut out piece leaving the second page as a....wait for it... BONUS reversible headband pattern! Oh yea!

Lastly, the Jessica Skirt is nap time friendly. Meaning, you can cut and sew during one nap.

My humble opinion? I like it! The instructions are clear and easy. This would be a perfect skirt for an older girl to sew by herself!  Most importantly, Ali likes it.
