Have you heard of Willow and Co?  They are a group of designers that teamed up to release a fabulous collection of kids patterns earlier this year.  The Glamping collection has everything, shirts, dresses, shorts, pants, a poncho, even a bag and a tent!  I am Crystal, from Stitched by Crystal, and today I get to share with you my review of one of Willow and Co’s patterns…the adorable Ash Jumpsuit.

This pattern has a ton of options! I made a pants jumpsuit, but you could also make a shorts playsuit, with or without elastic cuffs, or you can make separates, there are three top options, a pair of pants, and two shorts options!  There are also optional side seam pockets and you can add a contrasting fabric to the neckline.

The jumpsuit has a halter top with an elastic casing around the neck and back, as well as elastic at the waist and optional elastic at the hem.  It is so easy to get on and off, my 2 year old can dress herself with this!  And it is great for running, climbing, and playing.

Let me give you all the details on the Ash Jumpsuit!
  • The pattern is for sizes 6 months all the way to 12 years.
  • There is a size chart with both metric and imperial measurements.
  • There are tips for altering the pattern for a perfect fit, including how to lengthen or shorten and how to combine a different size top and bottom.
  • The pattern includes fabric requirements and notions in both metric and imperial measurements.
  • There is a glossary of terms used in the pattern.
  • Clear instructions with easy to follow diagrams for each step.
  • A printing guide is included so you only have to print the pages needed for the option you are sewing.
  • Pattern sizes are nested and sizes are distinguished by different colored and patterned lines.

This pattern is something a confident beginner could sew up with no trouble.   It took me about 2 hours to sew from print to finished jumpsuit.

I sewed up the size 2 for my daughter in this floral fabric I picked up at JoAnn’s.  It fits her just like a store bought size 2 garment.

You can find the Ash Jumpsuit along with all the other great Willow and Co patterns over at their website.  I have sewn over half of the collection for my daughter and I have loved every single item!  Go check them out!
