Hey everyone!! After an unofficial mini break, I’m back! There’s been so many awesome patterns released lately, but this is one I’m so excited about! I LOVE v-necks! Always for me, and now for my kiddos. Anne at Sofilantjes is bringing to us this amazing tee pattern with 2 options for the neckline, a v-neck or a v-neck with a 4 snap/button placket.
There are a few things that tend to draw me towards patterns these days, and I think they are pretty universally liked - unisex patterns are always a huge plus, printing in layers so I only have to use paper for a tiny size when I want and a quick sew. This pattern meets all those things and then some!
The construction is simple and perfect for a beginner while still having the look of something more advanced with the addition of the placket. The instructions for that make it so easy to follow. It still keeps things fun and challenging enough for more experienced sewers when you can really show your creative side and mix and match fabrics in Option B.
And if v-necks have scared you in the past the tutorial walks you through with very clear instructions and photos to end with a professional finished look.
I just love this toothless grin! And she demonstrates perfectly how useful that little pocket can be!
Special thank you to Hallå Fabrics for this gorgeous Znok Peace fabric. While custom fabric groups have started increasing in popularity my original love has always been Euro knits. They are an amazing weight, really fun prints and wash beautifully. Halla Fabrics is generously offering 20% off with code BeeHappy HERE for a limited time. The night owl fabric is a preview at an upcoming print from The Fabric Geeks.
