Since knit sewing patterns are all the rage at the moment, our team decided to sew up a handful of Jalie knit staples to showcase for you. With so many girls sewing at once (many of whom were brand new to Jalie) it was fun to hear the feedback start rolling in our review group as the girls got into their projects; the verdict- Jalie fans for life! We hope you enjoy this little showcase!

Lisa here from Not Sew Selfish, a website dedicated to inspiring and encouraging women to sew for themselves. Sewing for myself is my hobby, and an important part of self care for me a creative outlet at the end of a long day, and the chance to have some time to myself, and to do something for myself. I’m always looking for new styles and new techniques, to challenge my creativity and learn new skills (and to end up with the most fabulous, unique, well fitting wardrobe too, let’s face it!).

I have to admit that this is one of my favorite costumes I have ever made - SuperBex to the rescue. My son decided pretty last minute last year what he wanted to be, but he also designed the costume himself and is still wearing it a year later!!!!! As a mom, I love the fact that we can take our children's whims and fancies and bring them to life.
This means that it is time for Sewing for the Hemispheres!!!! We'll be showing off looks that will transition you into the next season for BOTH the North and the South. We'll have pattern suggestions, fabric inspiration, and some tips for making these outfits work for your body!!!
Grab your coffee (or tea) and sit down with us for a great week ahead!!! Both Lisa and Trisha are sharing great outfits today that will change your 'mom' wardrobe forever!!!
All right - I will confess, I didn't plan on participating in dance week. I set it up and gathered patterns for our amazing team and watched them share inspiration and start to sew. I felt a bit wistful, but I didn't really have the need. And then it happened.....I bit the bullet and signed Mack and Bex up for Ballet 1 - EEEEEEEKKKKKKK. Suddenly I needed dance wear, and fast! Luckily for me, one of our team members needed to pull out of her slot and I snatched it up - I need the motivation of post deadlines to get things done in a timely matter - anyone else???? So here is my version of the Jalie Princess Seam Leotard with Tutu skirt.
