The Cascade Tee by New Horizons

The first thing that attracted me to New Horizons Designs Cascade top was the flounce sleeves! Looking at those flounced sleeves on my youngest just makes me grin! I can’t quite describe it, but there’s something about ruffles on a toddler. I was also attracted to this pattern because it mirrors so many rtw tops that I’ve seen in stores lately. Now that I have a pattern for this top my girls get the rtw trends but the comfort and uniqueness of home sewn tops!

Okay, now for my very favorite part of every pattern; all of the options! The pattern is designed to be sewn with or without the flounces and in sleeveless, short or long sleeves. The Cascade is another pattern that can be sewn for any season. Lastly the pattern ranges from 6-12 months all the way up to size 6, so it fits a wide range of girls as well!

Marnies Version:

Hello lovely blog readers and thanks for stopping by. This is my version of the New Horizons Cascade Tee. Seeing as the other ladies on my team have shown you the ruffled versions of the Cascade Tee, I thought I would show you how this pattern can also be used for a more basic tshirt when you omit the ruffles. Zoe is starting to become lots more involved with what I will so for her, and I let her loose in my fabric stash - it is always amusing to see what she comes out with. She chose a very bright European Cotton Lycra which wasn’t particularly surprising. Zoe is right at the top end of the size 6 scale and so I made a straight six for her. Like all New horizons patterns that I’ve tried, I found it extremely well drafted and the sizing when sewed up was spot on. This pattern is a beauty, and with a fantastic size range, it will be one that you can use over and over again.

Heathers Version:

Hello, lovely Pattern Revolution readers! Heather from All Things Katy! here to review the New Horizons Designs Cascade Tee.

The New Horizons Designs Cascade Tee includes an optional, pretty, feminine flounce and three sleeve lengths- sleeveless, short and long sleeves. I sewed up a size 10, sleeveless with optional flounce New Horizons Designs Cascade Tee for my Missy. I used *bright* double brushed poly knit from my stash (no losing my daughter in the crowd, while wearing this shirt! ;)

I love how quickly the  New Horizons Designs Cascade Tee came together! With knit bands for the sleeveless option and omitting the flounce hem, I was printed, cut and sewn in under an hour- whew! I love a good, quick sew! Missy loves the flowy flounce sleeves and comfy fit. The New Horizons Designs Cascade Tee is a win, all around!
